Zinthos Karnath is a twisted sith alchemist who has dedicated his sad life to the creation of various Sith abominations and sith augmentations through this dark art. Deranged and evil, his dream is to see the end of the jedi order in the most atrocious and vile of ways. Does he care about his fellow sith? No, only if they help him achive his goal, once he has used them, he will dispense them. Although he is a alchemist, his sword skills are not to be reckoned with and are augmented by his knowledge of the art.

Appearance:

Zinthos Karnath is an albino Zeltron. He has pupil/irisless eyes, Silver white spiked hair and sometimes carries a Sith gas mask implanted on his mouth and chin. He is very thin and agile despite the path he has chosen.

Distinctive Marks:

Zinthos has various marks and sith tattoes around his body, some are battle scars or experimental accidents and the sith tattoes narrate various alchemical reaction formulas, but some are rumored to be runes of dark power that augment his strength and speed through the use of alchemy.

Equipment/Apparel:

Zinthos wears regularly robes and some sith armor. He carries his Sith blade at all times, he has no lightsaber as he sees these weapons, non elegant and repulsive as well as too common and with no sense of uniqueness. He sometimes carries a sith gas mask that covers his chin and mouth.

Starship(s):

Zinthos, has his own personal Sith armed shuttle granted to him by the sith empire. He uses this ship as his personal transport. It can hold up to 8 passengers and 4 crew members, has a ample cargo hold, as for weaponry, it carries multiple laser cannons and torpedo launchers. Its shield generator is of great quality, able to withstand significant attacks, its hull is of Durasteel alloy. It is said this Shuttle was of Kuat Drive Yards engineering and manufacture but details are yet to be confirmed.

Personality:

Zinthos Karnath is a chaotic and twisted man, he gets what he wants and uses anyone to his likes and means. In many times it's his rules or death, although recently he has learned to control himself. Zinthos has gained an uneasy friendship with the Sith empire thanks to this personality but his great skill at sith alchemy has prevented the sith empire of disposing of him. He knows he dosen't go anywhere without allies though, so he has always a friend or two that he considers important.

Relationships:

Zinthos Karnath is not a man of relationships, he uses his Zeltron persuasive powers exclusively to suck up the information he needs from the people he questions, he wont mind seducing a woman or two to bring out the deep info either.

Recently he began to develop feelings towards a Zeltron scientist called Aurana, after she revealed how much and why she cared for Zinthos. Aurana is also a sith like him and fell for the albino Zeltron alchemist due to his vision and skill in the art.

Beliefs:

Zinthos believes in the Dark Side of the force and how this will bring the end of the Jedi and all other life he deems, unworthy.

Goals and Ambitions:

The end of the Jedi Order through his creations of Sith Alchemy.

Back story:

Early Life

Zinthos Karnath was born on Zeltros circa 40 years before the treaty of coruscant. Zinthos was an odd fellow compared to most Zeltrons, surrounded by the party lifestyle of the planet he became rather bored of it, although he always kept the traits of flirting and attraction/seduction deep to his personality, he saw this as a tool to get others to do his bidding. After meeting a strange off worlder, the stranger left behind a bag full of ancient sith holocrons, using his Zeltron persuasive traits he managed to get information from various "crazed" locals regarding the various holocrons, even with the advice and hints from the locals, Zinthos found it hard to activate the holocrons, after much tinkering he accidentally activated one of the holocrons, it taught Zinthos how to use the rest of them and Zinthos took it as a task to learn from all of the holocrons, it may have been very probable that Zinthos might have unconsciously tapped into the force to open the holocron. Zinthos, was amazed at all the things the holocrons taught him about the sith and their dark mysterious powers, and how he could shape and create things with the force. Zinthos indeed had a strong attunement with the force, and with the knowledge of Sith alchemy he was gonna put it to the test. His first experiment, was with a female Zeltron named Mika, a childhood friend of Zinthos, he convinced Mika his experiment would make her ultimately attractive and win the heart of her platonic love. Fooled, Zinthos converted her into his first Sith Abomination twisting her body to grotesque forms, the body succumbed to an implosion shortly after. Although he clearly failed to keep the abomination alive, he bowed to dwell deeper into this dark path and in the end find a way to create monsters that will serve him eternally.

But first, he had to leave the planet, and everything behind. He did this in the most vile way possible. His second experiment, with his parents, Zinthos and the power of sith alchemy converted the couple into raging enemies, both destroying and devouring their bodies to death as Zinthos watched with glee. Now an orphan, Zinthos was free to leave the planet with noone to stop him. He asked for any clues on where to find the Sith, luckily he happened to come across a Sith imperial recruiter. With the right information given, the recruiter sent him to be trained with other sith acolytes aboard a shuttle heading to Korriban. Zinthos was now free from Zeltros and on the way to becoming a hopeful sith lord alchemist, the only thing he could think about becoming.

Life with the Sith

The Sith showed him around the empire, an eager Zinthos was more than glad to be part of a group of personas that shared his beliefs, but he was desperate to obtain more knowledge of sith alchemy and creations. In a private quarter, one of the Sith presented him with a gift, a ancient Sith Blade used by the great lords of the sith more than a millenia ago. It is not known why the sith gave him the present, maybe he wanted to get rid of it or saw that Zinthos might want it more than him, nevertheless, he encouraged Zinthos to power the weapon with Sith alchemy, Zinthos did as he was told and found the blade to increase its sharpness to superpowered levels. Zinthos didn't really like his name, he found being called Zin for short much better and used this name around the academy, he made sure that his classmates called him by this name. Zinthos continued to do experiments with Sith alchemy, giving birth to a number of abominations and creatures able to fight for the sith empire, but many of them weren't as powerful as he wished, he patiently waited for the time his experiments would reach unbelievable levels, his dream, the Terentanteks created by the powerful sith lord Exar Kun. He also practiced various Lightsaber forms, but after much study and research he found the Ataru and Makashi forms the most suitable to his needs, Ataru because he was light and agile, and Makashi so he could counter the power of the repulsive lightsabers that many of his fellow sith used with fashion. The Makashi form, although his second best, was merely decent. The Ataru form, remained his only Mastered form.

A new Darth

The sith by now had recognized the talent of Zinthos Karnath. He passed the Sith trials with little difficulty, his best subject being his passion, sith alchemy. The sith then summoned him to the temple where a lord awaited to give Zinthos his new title. As the sith crowned Zinthos with the name Darth Zinthos, he bowed to the sith lord and turned away. The rest of the sith lords stood up and bowed at him, dismissing him. The new sith lord now went back to his quarters to make more experiments, now with his minion and helper a wretched massassi slave called Gurk. Little is known of Gurk's past, he was a massassi caste hopeful but tainted sith magic corrupted his body to almost unrepairable levels. A disfigured sith and a disgrace to other Massassi caste sith, Gurk was turned into a slave, he worked as one in a quarry but soon after Zinthos got his Darth title, Gurk was luckily picked to be his assistant. The sith lord didn't like Gurk at first, he failed to do even the most basic jobs in his laboratory, costing him numerous creations. But in time, Zinthos developed a soft heart for the fellow wretched sith, who tolerated every beating and scream Zinthos made at him, and made him his new friend, although from time to time Zinthos still mistreated him. Zinthos and Gurk, after getting the hang of things in the laboratory, started to work on new projects, some that would be used in the crowning moment of the Sith empire, the sacking of coruscant.

The sacking of Coruscant

The treaty of Coruscant was a time of glory for the Sith, and a crowing moment in the alchemical career of Zinthos Karnath. Dispatched with many other sith lords and sith warriors under the command of Sith Lord Angral, Zinthos released his newest monstrocities into coruscant, they ravaged and consumed a decent number of republic infantry, vehicles and even jedi. Zinthos was more than glad, many died to republic forces however, and other just went into the sewers to live the rest of their lives. Zinthos didn't mind this though, good or bad, it didn't make a difference to him if they came back or not. Zinthos was then relieved of his duty in Coruscant and free to engage in whatever would help the Sith empire, or him.

SW-TOR:

Liuth Laboratory

Shortly after the sacking of coruscant, Zinthos suffered a huge blow to his career, his laboratory at Korriban was closed, due to new Sith recruits filling the premises. The trust he had gained with the Sith empire had crippled, he began to think of them as if they didn't see him as the alchemist he had trained his life to become. He got transferred into a new laboratory testing dangerous experiments, this was located on the planet Liuth. Luckily, the main project on this laboratory was his work, the creation of terentanteks. All went well, but numerous failures in the project lost the trust of the board of researchers towards Zinthos. Afterwards a new project came forth to Liuth, the artificial insemination of sith acolytes. These sith acolytes were to be force augmented into powerful warriors. The board saw this project much more appealing than terentanteks and cancelled Zinthos project. Outraged, Zinthos demanded another chance, he gave all the reasons why he thought this project was useless and promised the board that he would succeed in creating the creatures. The board after much talk, gave him one last chance. Zinthos was contempt with the decision and went back to work.

His moment was about to recieve one more obstacle however, two sith lords, Darth Mainyu and Sinji of Bones, came into liuth to continue their research on the pet project of Liuth Laboratories, the creation of sith acolytes. At first the sith lords never got in Zinthos work, but after a dangerous attempt on the revival of a terentantek fossil, the sith lords, thinking Zinthos couldn't harness the power he created, stopped him from finishing his experiments. An angered Zinthos couldn't stand their presence but he calmed down, seeing the stupidity of creating unecessary drama in the premisces. Mainyu and Sinji however, didn't become his friends, he viewed them as enemies, and they viewed him as a child. Something that really angered Zinthos.

Zinthos also came across multiple times with a fellow laboratory researcher named Aurana. This Zeltron was attracted to Zinthos after she found out his dreams of Alchemy. Zinthos despised her however, and many times turned her away. After a "romantic" encounter in Zinthos Laboratory, Zinthos found out that the arrival of the sith lords had marked his end on this laboratory as well, also he found out that this pet project was hiding something that noone in the laboratory grounds even the two guest sith lords didn't know. Zinthos, after a harsh confrontation with Aurana that revealed to him how much she loved him, agreed to help on this however he could. Shortly after, Zinthos was called by lord mainyu to get adressed in a laboratory accident that occured shorlty before the meeting. It was indeed what Aurana told him, but to his dismay, terrible news arrived from one of the Empire's overseers. His project was indeed going to be terminated less he committed his full attention to the matter at hand. Outraged once again, Zinthos lashed out against the sith lords only to be ridiculed and viewed as a weak sith. He was indeed scared, and asking for help, he couldn't lose his work now, not after all that he did.

After the Sith lords exited the room, Zinthos stayed, angry about what happened, shortly, Aurana entered the room and adresssed Zinthos. She pointed out how weak he had become and how his impulsiveness had shown those he worked with how childish and immature he was. Aurana was in fact awakeing the hate inside Zinthos, giving him strength. Aurana was successful in her taunting and Zinthos lashed out against her, his hate giving him the strength he required to realized what he had to do....

Legacy:

Zinthos if heard of in the files of history, would be known for his Sith alchemical creations. Responsible for the deaths of many.

OOC Information:

Zinthos, was originally a character created for a fan comic called Shadow of the Sith, made by Ramon Paoli, the writer of this article. He was also the lost son of Naga Sadow, his last name was originally Zinthos Sadow. He was found by emperor palpatine and trained a sith to rival Darth Vader. He even had his own flagship, a superweapon star destroyer called Swordedge. Zinthos was also known as Darth Zin.
