Guild Information

Jen'Jidai is a fanatical sect sympathetic and loyal to the Sith Empire -- fanatical even by Sith standards. Two Sith Lords began this faction, establishing their base of operations out of the Aeten System on Aeten II. The main concept of the sect is to enforce the belief that all creatures should pursue their own perfection. This must be done without limitations. Its concepts and methodologies are derived from the belief that perfection of the physical and spiritual, through the complete mastery of the force, will allow transcendence to a perfect destiny. To further their goals, they have also contracted a number of elite warriors not of the Sith philosophy to bolster their strength, including an entire Mandalorian clan known as Clan Blood Shadow.

Guild Background

Jen'Jidai is now 10 years old, begun in 20 ATC by the brothers Darth Drahl and Darth Xenith on Aeten II near the mining colony of Arete. The name they chose means "Dark Jedi". The crown jewel within their base of operations is their own Academy, established shortly after the guild was founded. There, they train young force-users in the Sith philosophies so that one day those students will join in the ranks of their loyal fighting force.

Goals/Ambitions/Plans

Simply stated, Jen'Jidai's goal is to wipe out both the Jedi and the Republic. This goal can be implemented in a variety of ways, from political and economic manuverings to outright military assault.

Values/Beliefs

As a Sith organization, there is a necessary and proper emphasis on strength and striving to attain perfection. It is recognized that there are many different types of strengths, but so long as the individual is forever attempting to forge themselves into a better and more perfect version as they actively strive to meet their destiny, Jen'Jidai will continue to support their efforts.

Structure

As a largely military group, chain-of-command is enforced and is to be respected at all times. Those who hold a title of merit within the group have earned it, and will be treated accordingly.

Explanation of Ranks within Jen'Jidai

Jen'Jidai utilizes a twin-branch version of ranking. One branch is for non-force-users, and one branch is for force-users. Those on each section of the branch are on-par with each other, so that the force-user is not considered higher than the non-force-user and vica versa. Both branches culminate into a single position at the top.

Sith Master

This title is reserved only for the co-leaders of the guild. While students may use the term "master" as a sign of respect to their teachers (though Lord would be preferred), no guild member will claim the official title enjoyed by Darth Drahl and Darth Xenith except through formal challenge.

Sith Lord and Admiral

Both the Lord and the Admiral report directly to the Masters, but the Lord is a force-user while the Admiral is not. These titles are earned by those Jen'Jidai who serve as officers and head instructors within the Guild and Academy.

Members of This Rank

Admiral Bounty Hunter Sashi Qel'Droma -- Guild Ambassador and Commander within Cardinal Syndicate
Sith Lord Vellic Duranis -- Father Saarai-Kaar and Instructor at the Academy
Admiral Draecor Ralkor, Admiral of Recruitment

Sith Archon and Vice-Admiral

Every Lord holding an officer position has the ability to select an assistant or officer-in-training from the general membership. These are members with special skills who have proven themselves as standing out in the crowd and deserving of being given the honor of responsibility. The Archon is the assistant of a Lord, while the Vice-Admiral assists an Admiral.

Sith Knight and Captain

The general membership breaks down into either Knights or Captains. They are on par with each other in terms of official status, though the Knight is a force-user and the Captain is not. The vast majority of the Guild make-up are Knights and Captains.

Sects Within the Guild:

There are a number of speciality sects within the Guild, each serving a unique purpose or denoting a place of honor and reverence.

Cardinal Syndicate

The Cardinal Syndicate is a confederation of mercenaries, bounty hunters, agents, assassins and other occupations of war that have been commissioned by Jen'Jidai to serve as their most proficient warriors.

Clan Blood Shadow

A sub-group of the Cardinal Syndicate, this Mandalorian clan has been contracted by Jen'Jidai for an extended duration to serve as their elite troops. Traditional mando'ade in every way, the Elders of Clan Blood Shadow did not sacrifice one shred of honor or tradition in signing this contract -- they made certain of that.

Policy on Side Missions

A note from the Elder of the Clan Blood Shadow to all would heed the call: "The Cardinal Syndicate and Clan Blood Shadow are contracted with Jen'Jidai. They pay our salaries, our housing and food, our tab at the Cantina, the energy packs in our blaster, and the repairs for our ships. When our services are not required by our Jen'Jidai employers, all members are free to take contracts elsewhere as long as their actions do not benefit the Republic or the Jedi, nor can they be detrimental to Jen'Jidai. Should Jen'Jidai issue a battle cry, we must answer that call. The only event that takes precedent over Jen'Jidai's call is the call of Clan Blood Shadow's Mand'alor."

The Fallen

Jen'Jidai is a haven for former Jedi who have found new purpose in serving the Dark Side. They are called the Fallen. These force wielders are the strongest of the Jen'jidai force sensitives. This is due to their belief in perfecting ones self in the force by using both light and darkside abilities--eventually reaching true perfection without limitations.

Saarai-Ka'ar

Serving in positions of authority within the Academy, the Saarai-Kaar are instructors, priests and administrators. Jen'Jidai has the future that it does because of the skill and dedication the Saarai-Ka'ar have. They are lead by the Mother and Father Saarai-Ka'ar, the effective heads of the Academy. Force-users and non-sensatives both serve in this capacity.

Penitants of Kissai

These are Force Using warriors to the bone. They serve as the protectors and enforcers of the Saarai-Ka'ar. They are distinctive in their absolute conviction in the idea that they can purge personal weakness through intense self-inflicted punishment. Very rarely is a Penitant unscarred, and so they usually appeared covered, with no flesh showing. Whether this is to spare others the horror of their visage or to prevent contamination of their efforts a purging weakness remains a subject of debate.

Jiaasjen

Serving the needs of Jen'Jidai and the Empire, these folks are the information gathering branch of the Guild. Sent on sensitive missions, members are expected to rely on their wits, charm and stealth more than brute force or intimidation. Missions include: laying the groundwork for an official diplomatic envoy; gathering the intel for a future military mission; establishing an information network with criminal or underworld parties; maintaining off-world contacts and relationships for procurement needs; subverting popular support away from or toward a favored outcome; and many others. While the majority of members tend to be Imperial Agents, individuals are recruited based on ability and mind set rather than on their Force sensativity. They most often receive their orders from the Mother or Father Saarai-Kaar, but do ocassionally receive orders from others depending on the nature of the mission.

Built on the foundations of Loyalty, Dedication, Action and Conviction, this is a group with a secretive inner structure. All new members are referred to as Firsts, and questions about what that means are deferred with the statement that they should focus on the foundational ideals first. Exactly how many levels there are or what new insights are revealed as one moves up in the ranks are not known. Their logo is said to the source of great wisdom and insight for those with the capacity to move beyond the foundation.

Jen'derriphan (Dark Devourers)

Another branch of the military, these are Force-users and non-sensatives who live to destroy any and all enemies of Jen'Jidai. There is usually little subtlety or discretion among members of this earned rank.

Governance

The Guild is ruled over by the Masters, though the Lords and Admirals can offer counsel if such is requested. The Masters are gracious in their rulership and tolerate much, though it is the wise member who does not push their luck. The running of the mining colony of Arete is left to the miners, provided no complaints for missed or unfullfilled orders reaches the ears of Drahl or Xenith.

Recruitment

Jen'Jidai is always on the lookout for quality members. Membership is made up of students who have graduated from their Academy (no member under the age 17 will be allowed outside the school grounds), Bounty Hunters recruited by the Cardinal Syndicate or Mandalorians with ties to Clan Blood Shadow, instructors within the Academy, or Sith of exceptional merit who for one reason or another are unfit to teach. Every member, regardless of rank or title, will carry their weight or be expelled.

Graduates of the Academy

We are, of course, proudest of those Jen'Jidai which have gone through our Academy and passed their final Test. They bear the special mark of this success, one which all members recognize. While graduates are given no official deferrence, they do have the benefit of higher expectations, which means they are looked to first for any volunteer or other high-requirement missions of merit.

Special Training

The Academy does not use the Master/Apprentice approach for the bulk of their studentship. Only those of considerable worth are chosen for such individualized attention, but not every Lord is willing to take on such a task. In addition, it's entirely possible for a Knight, Graduate or other new member to be accepted by a Lord as an Apprentice. The role of Mentor can only be accepted by those with the Lord title, and no Lord may have more than 6 such Apprentices at any one time. The nature, purpose, goal and prospective duration of the teaching relationship is up to the Lord and the Knight who may enter into the situation.

New Recruit Policies

Those who get their training and then join Jen'Jidai need to be aware of the housing and ship hangar arrangements, as well as arrangements on how we deal with personal wealth prior to and during membership. This information is posted under the policies sections within the Aeten II Facilities section. Housing is under the Dormiciles of Flame heading and ship hangar information if under the SpacePort heading.

Diplomatic Ties and Alliances

Jen'Jidai's diplomacy officer is Ambassador Sashi, however, Jen'Jidai recognizes no official alliances with any other Sith oriented guild or sect. As long as the goals of the other guilds or sects do not conflict or violate the stated purpose and mission of Jen'Jidai, they will not be categorized as enemies. Any guild or sect which supports, aids or benefits either the Jedi or the Republic will immediately be met with hostile intent. Any group, guild or sect which attempts to interfere with or hamper the efforts of Jen'Jidai as they carry out their goals will also be met with hostility, regardless of alignment or allegiance.

Economic

The mining colony of Arete has contracts with several of the largest shipbuilding corporations in the galaxy. These relationships will be protected to ensure continued prosperity. Any supplier of mining equipment, armament and armour manufacturer, as well as shipwrights, might do well to establish friendly relations with Jen'Jidai. As an active military group, we are constantly in need of vendors for such wares and would be amenable to hearing from such contacts. Quality is a must. Your point of contact is Bounty Hunter Sashi Qel'Droma.

Political

The mining colony is a separate entity from Jen'Jidai. While the colony has a mayor and tends to be more democratic in their government processes, the guild is not. The Masters do not wish to be bothered with the day-to-day details of Guild operations (please see the Administrative Assistant for all such routine matters), any request concerning official guild response must be directed to either Darth Drahl or Darth Xenith.

Military

All military matters must be decided on by Darth Drahl and/or Darth Xenith. If they choose to undertake a mission, they will activate the Cardinal Syndicate and Clan Blood Shadow groups in addition to their own Sith Lords and Knights. While there is a standing order to wipe out any solitary Jedi or small Republic groups encountered, any activity which might provoke a larger response must be cleared first. Please see the stated policy on side-missions for further information.

OOC: About Legend Gaming's Jen'Jidai Chapter

Image:Legend-gaming.png

Jen'Jidai is a Sith based RP/PvE/PvP guild for the in-development MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic. This guild is a chapter of the multi-gaming network Legend-Gaming. Legend-Gaming was first established in early 2007 by Zurual Drahl, Sanakhti, and other leaders of the AoC guild, Hand of Set. Jen'Jidai and Legend-Gaming have always prided themselves on organization and lore driven gaming. We feel it elevates the player’s gaming experience if he/she is in an environment where they can completely engross themselves into the game and all it has to offer. What makes us unique is our equal focus on Lore/RP, PvP, and PvE. Though we consider ourselves a guild of hardcore gamers, we still embrace the immersion which can come from being in a MMORPG world.

We do offer a FAQ if you'd rather see that.

Guild Purpose

Our focus, as a guild, is to provide our members with the tools and opportunities they deserve to get maximum enjoyment from this MMO. We are a hardcore guild which plans to fully invest ourselves in all facets this game offers, be it PvE endgame raids, advanced and organized Role-Play character development, and Player Verses Player(PvP) engagements. The leadership and membership of this community have more than ten years of gaming experience in some of the most harsh PvP environments including Shadowbane, Ultima Online, Dark Age of Camelot, and the Lineage series. Though we consider ourselves exceptional at PvP and PvE, we whole-hearted embrace the values of role-play and immersion.

Application Process

Understand you are joining a community, not simply a guild. Upon joining Jen'Jidai, you are joining Legend-Gaming. So if you're not looking for a tight-knit community concept, we're not the right fit for you. Be an active member of the guild and contribute to guild events, raids, and so forth both pre-release and post-release. You, as the human player sitting at your computer reading this, must realize and accept that this guild is dark, evil, and embraces concepts within the game that are abominable in the real world. These include slavery, murder, bigotry, and basic abhorrent behavior to be expected from zealots. To apply to Jen'Jidai is to understand and accept this.

The process is simple. So long as you meet the above criteria then all you have to do is contact us and post an application at our forum. Having done that, you will receive a reply in a timely manner with the next step of the process.

Membership Requirements

1) Your character must be of the Sith Faction. This is assuming the rumors of SW:Tor being RvR based are true. Your character's name should be "lore appropriate".
2) You must be prepared to use Ventrillo and be logged into the vent server whenever you are logged into the game (Post Release Only -exceptions can be made in certain circumstances).
3) You must be 17 years of age. Some exceptions are made for family members, younger siblings, and children of current members.

Activity Requirements

This is a guild for active players, even though the game isn't out yet. That means those who apply should expect to spent time with other members on Vent, in our Forums, and joining us for Activity Nights. These formal requirements are found in the Code of Conduct under Section Three.

Evil Characters, not Evil Players

Please be perfectly clear: evil behavior is expected IN-GAME only. Players are expected to be civil, polite and cooperative with each other as much as reasonably possible so that we can focus on character advancement and having a good time. We do not like to deal with a player's melodrama or attention-hound antics, and any player who believes that out-of-character abusing of another guild member in any fashion is acceptable behavior will be invited to leave the guild. For a full and detailed write-up, please see our Code of Conduct.

Server Information

This will be determined at a more appropriate time.

Ranks and Prestige

Within game play, there are several guild awarded Ranks and Prestige Ranks outside of officership. Whether you are mainly a PvP or RP player, we got you covered. A few ranks are exclusionary, but most are not. They serve to enrich the fabric of the community, but are not used to sort out who can do what.

OOC: RolePlay Opportunities

Guild Forum

Currently, most of our RP is confined to the Members-Only forum. There is a guest roleplay section available where contacts with other guilds or economic interests can be met. Enter our Crystal Cantina, also open to guests, and have a drink with us. If you have any questions or interest along this avenue, please contact Father Saarai-Kaar Duranis. Completed storylines that are Guild Affecting are added to the History page along with credit to those who took part. There are also constant character development storylines going on which add to the richness of our Roleplay and character understanding. We do sometimes also have RP within the official TOR forum so if you want your character to be "found" before making their way to the Facilities, we can certainly do that!

SW:TOR Forums

We have a few members who have ventured into these forums, notably Cereni, but not enough at this point in time. We plan to encourage participating in the Space Station and some of the sign-up RP, and then we plan to initiate a few stories of our own to help continue the entertainment value for our members and other players. If you have any ideas, please contact Saarai-Kaar Duranis!
