Feyr Shero
From SW:TOR-RP-Wiki
Feyr Shero was a Jedi serving the Galactic Republic during the time of the Great War in the Old Republic era. He was one of the Jedi defending the Jedi temple during the Sacking of Coruscant. He was known for his fierce defense of the disenfranchised and his criticism of the Jedi Order and the Republic itself. Considered a radical for his time, he was a proponent of the Living Force and adopted an oddly scientific view of the force, very similar to what would become known as the Potentium theory.

Appearance
Feyr Shero was of average height and had a somewhat muscular build. It was especially necessary for his Form V techniques, which required strong counter-attacks and swift blows, to be strong enough to push or clamp down his adversary. His robes were very similar to those of the typical Jedi knight. With dark brown hair, and a fully grown beard, he looked like he was older than his age. He built his own lightsaber with a green crystal.
Languages
Feyr speaks Galactic Basic, High Galactic, Durese and understands Binary.
Family
Feyr never knew who his family was, or so he claimed. Some Jedi argued that he didn't want to remember whom they were, that his mind kept it hidden, unwilling to accept whatever there was in the past. He was of the opinion that Jedi, who spread these rumors, were mostly charlatans and were incapable of keeping their mouth shut.
Personality
"Padawan: Master, i've often wondered why Shero was never made a knight. He passed the trials of knighthood after all.
Master: It is his way of acting, his arrogance and his disagreements with the council."
Feyr was a kind man, capable of great generosity and sympathy. With few friends (in fact, none) however, not many really wanted to know Feyr. His solitary life was his own choice, according to him. In times of conflict he would get angry easily, something which Jedi masters frowned. He was described as "bull headed", "stubborn" and "arrogant", as it was perceived that he looked down on Jedi Masters and the council.

Views on the Force
"That man should never have entered the Jedi Order... he tries to spread his nonsense to our padawans. His philosophy will lead him to the dark side." - Jedi Knight Greg Juyons
Unlike most Jedi of his time, Feyr believed that the Force was neither good or evil, light or dark. The force was simply an energy field, created by all living things, similar to gravity or electricity. It was simply another phenomenon, used by either the Jedi or the Sith for their own purposes.
His views were highly unpopular with the Jedi, especially during the heated times of the Cold War between the Republic and the Sith Empire. The Potentium was considered to be wrong, even heresy by the Jedi Order. Advocating an extremely rational or scientific view of the force was unthinkable. As such, while he was living in Tython, he was forced to keep some of his beliefs to himself.
Political Views
"Your activism will get you into trouble, it will. You'd best wise up quick boy, or you'll find yourself alone." - Senator Grosh Manu
Feyr was especially considered to be a radical due to his political beliefs and political agitation. His views were summarized as such:
- The Republic was inherently bureaucratic and inefficient. The many layers of useless bureaucracy created slow and little progress in terms of applying policy and resolutions by the Senate. The domination by large corporations such as Czerka created a corrupt and business oriented economy with no concern for the little man.
- The political system of the Republic was authoritarian and had a large democratic deficit. The supreme chancellor was chosen by the senate, not by the people themselves. This created a barrier for common citizens who could not voice their opinions unless it was through the Senate, an institution which only a select few had any chance of being part of. In other words, the Republic possessed structures similar to the Sith Empire. This created a situation where the Republic and the Sith Empire were simply two competing superpowers who were not concerned for their respective citizens.
"The point of the Republic is to give a voice to the voiceless and power to the powerless. As it stands, the Republic is a beast, incapable of progressing, eternally stagnating. I will defend the Republic, as a better option to the Sith Empire, but there has to be one great of a change in our own society if we want all the efforts of the Jedi to not be in vain. There can be no peace when you have women selling their bodies for obscenely rich men, children forced to go to war or working in dangerous factories, workers killed everyday because of unfufilled safety regulations and entire native populations displaced by unconcerned corporations."
He advocated a complete restructurization of the Republic, starting with the economy and ending with the political system.
Current Time (In-game)
Currently Feyr is living in Tython, helping the Jedi Order occasionally and being sent on missions. He spends his free time watching the environment, exploring or sleeping in his quarters.
Quotes
"Jedi Master: You should start obeying the Jedi law, no matter how much you disagree with it.
Feyr: When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty."
"Padawan: Wars are so frequent... they never seem to end. It is as if a vicious cycle has taken hold of the galaxy.
Feyr: Don't worry. This is only the 50th time the republic is invaded. Our enemies have not learned their lesson." -To a Jedi Padawan
