Collected Ship Logs from The Provender is a collection of ship log entries into the main computer of exploring vessel The Provender.

The anthology contains ship logs from the point of manufacturing, to the last day of its existence. The ship was mostly known for being Ix Techau's main exploring ship, from her mid 20's until its devastating malfunction 8 years later.

Ship Information

The Provender was originally a Crescent-X9, a military starship built by Krasten Shipyards ca 3,800 BBY. The original owner was a merchant by the name of Throuu'Leit, who bought the vessel directly from Krasten Shipyards. He converted the vessel into a light freighter because he wanted a freighter with military class defenses and shields.

The missile bays were removed in favour of extra recreational space, and the entire interior was redone.

The ship stayed in the merchant family of Throuu'Leit for about 100 years, before it was sold to explorer Fin Hatuzalem, who fully renovated the ship and turned it into an exporing vessel. Shields, hyperdrive and weapons were updated, and the cargo bay turned into a research facility.

Fin Hatuzalem used the ship for 10 years, before he sold the ship to a Sith agent called Hemchua Trogzin on Yavin, who donated the ship to the research facilities on Korriban.

It was later given to Ix Techau for her explorations trying to uncover ancient Sith knowledge. However, the ship had a major malfunction 8 years later, where it plunged into a another ship in space, cutting off Ix's legs in the process. The ship was then scrapped completely.

Testing ship log functions, play back.

Op Day 20 (3,717 BBY)

I arrived in the Naboo System yesterday. Juwiel said she spotted several Narglatch's in the Gallo Mountains on Naboo, so I'm going to search the area for a good specimen. The ship is working great after all the upgrades, performing well above the level of my previous ship. Only downside is that the cargo bay probably won't hold an adult Rancor, if I ever find one. Otherwise, everything is good so far.

Op Day 31 (3,716 BBY)

After several days of scouting the area, I finally came across a beautiful Narglatch specimen. He seems like a very helthy young male, and is already responding to my commands. I found many Narglatch's on my last day, but only had room for one aboard the ship. I'll probably return to pick up another one, so I can sell one of them.

Op Day 1 (3,661 BBY)

This is Ix, day one aboard The Provender. After leaving Korriban this morning, me and Oss decided to check out some of the moons surrounding the planet, before making the hyperspace jump towards Ziost. Not much to see, even though we spotted several creatures I've never even read about. We gave up after a couple of hours. Just wanted to test the scanning equipment this ship is equipped with anyways.

We punched in the coordinates for Ziost and entered hyperspace. I wonder if I'll ever get used to it? This was only the second time I've entered hyperspace, and I always get worried that something, anything...will go wrong. Therefor, I used an older and slower hyperspace route. Gives me time to study, and keeps me calm. Normally the trip takes around 8-10 hours, but our route adds a couple of hours.

We'll arrive at Master Hrietarl's spaceport in about an hour.

Ix logging out.

Op Day 32 (3,661 BBY)

This is Ix. We've been on Ziost for almost a galactic month now, under the tutelage and guidance of Master Hrietarl. The Provender has been kept in the docking bay, and has gotten some minor upgrades. Today is the first day we're going to actually use the exploring capabilities of the ship, as we're heading for a remote location here on Ziost, said to contain a forgotten library from a separatist Sith cult.

Right now I'm just waiting for Oss to fuel the ship and load the landspeeder Master Hrietarl gave us.

Op Day 33 (3,661 BBY)

This is Ix. Yesterday we arrived at the excavation site on the north side of Ziost. The forest up here is thick, dark and full of dangers. We have two guard droids with us, but the forest is unnerving. Haven't started investigating the site yet, as we landed during the dark.

The scanning systems on this ship are excellent and very convenient. We all have access to personal alarms, connected to the ships scanning computer, warning us of any approaching life form. As long as we don't stray too far away from the ship, we should be warned in time in case of an approaching danger.

We're going to be here for about a week, and when we return to Master Hrietarl's spaceport, we're supposed to accompany him to an exploration station in the nearby Thurra system. Everything is working perfect so far.

Op Day 80 (3,661 BBY)

This is Ix. I didn't realize that we would have so little use for The Provender as we've had so far. We just spent almost two months in and around the Thurra system, on an exploration station orbiting Thule. Me and Oss didn't really have an interest in Thule, and didn't really know that we'd be stuck there for so long. We've been planning excavations though, so even if we only returned two days ago, we've already started prepping the ship for another trip to the excavation site up north.

Last trip we didn't find anything, but there is something up there, I can feel it. There is an overwhelming feeling of emotional consumption around the site. You feel it all over this planet, but it is stronger at the site.

Hopefully we'll find something this time.

Ix logging out.

Op Day 85 (3,661 BBY)

This is Ix. We arrived at the excavation site this morning, but we've alredy found something. We were landing a little bit closer to the actual site this time, and happened to expose an interesting cloak in the ground, under one of the landing gears. The cloak has Sith writings on it, and bears the mark of Naga Sadow. These cloaks were common amongst his followers, but noone has really seen one since he died, which was around 800 years ago.

At least this proves that the site has some significance.

Ix logging out.

Op Day 86 (3,661 BBY)

Ix here. As we suspected, the buried cloak was in fact covering a grave. The corpse seem to be an unimportant servant, but he was indeed buried with a selection of diaries. We haven't been able to see what they contain yet, we had to put in them in the vacuum container to keep them from withering. As soon as the container is stable, we'll check through the books.

Ix logging out.

Op Day 87 (3,661 BBY)

This is Ix. Well, the diaries were interesting, to say the least. The servant buried here seems to have been a steward to one of Naga Sadow's starship commanders. The diaries are quite random, mostly notes about what the commander wanted (and how), but some entries actually describes certain features of the starship. We haven't gotten far, and I'm sure there will be plenty of information, interesting enough to convince Master Hrietarl that this site is worth the trouble.

We're returning tonight.

Ix logging out.
