Change Apparence (Transformation Manipulation)
Type: P
· Target: B
· Duration: S
· Drain: +1(S)
This touch spell changes the subject's appearance, duplicating
the effects of cosmetic surgery. The spell has a Threshold of half the target's
Body. For the successes achieved in the Sorcery test, the caster can "buy"
effects from the following table:
1 success: Minor changes I:
remove or add scars or tattoos, alter nose size, elongate ears, change eye color
etc.
2 successes:
Minor changes II: change skin color, improved looks (+1 mundane charisma)
3 successes:
Major changes I: complete facial change
4 successes:
Major changes II: change apparent phenotype from ork to human, human to elf or
vice versa
5 successes:
Extreme changes I: change apparent sex or phenotype from troll to ork, dwarf to
human or vice versa
6+ successes:
Extreme changes II: change apparent phenotype to any metahuman form, including
metavariants
Only naturally occurring effects can be achieved, so neon green
eye color or new metatypes both wouldn't be viable. The subject's physical
attributes or abilities (such as running multiplier, natural night vision,
dermal plating or resistance to diseases) are not modified by his apparent
phenotype.
The spell can be used to obtain the appearance of a specific
individual, limited by the amount of reference material available to the caster.
The caster can also duplicate any appearance he has created using this spell
before.
The subject's voice is changed according to the new form. If
trying to fool a voice print scanner, treat the effect like that of a cybernetic
Secondary voice pattern (p. 301, SR3) with a level equal to half caster's
successes at the Sorcery Test. With 2 or more successes, his fingerprints can be
changed. The retina pattern can be altered with 3 or more successes. The spell
is not precise enough to change retina patterns or fingerprints to any specific
form except those created by this spell before.
Any cyberware the subjects carries adjusts to his new form and remains
functional, but clothing and equipment don't. This can cause damage to the
subject or his equipment at the gamemaster's discretion.
